All major work activity at the Humanities and Social Studies Complex (HSSC) and the Admission and Financial Aid (AFA) building is included below. Abbreviation key: SOG — slab on grade; SOD — slab on deck; MEP — mechanical, electrical, and plumbing; FF — finished floor; HM — hollow metal; OH — overhead; AHU — air handling unit; any reference to “pour” refers to pouring concrete; CMU — concrete masonry unit.

HSSC: Major activity week of June 25

  • Basement MEP continues
  • Insulation – duct/pipe, north pavilion
  • Hang drywall – 1st and 2nd floors, north pavilion
  • Drywall finish – 3rd floor south pavilion, north pavilion 1st floor
  • Paint – south pavilion, 3rd floor
  • Ceiling grid – south pavilion
  • Wall rough-in/backing/framing – 3rd floor, north pavilion
  • Door frames – north pavilion final
  • Overhead MEP – 2nd floor south, 3rd floor south pavilion
  • Wall rough-in/backing/framing – 2nd and 3rd floors, north pavilion
  • Air barrier – atrium high roof sheathing
  • Atrium – framing high roof ceiling/drywall
  • Atrium – fire protection drops completed
  • Restroom floor tile – south pavilion, 2nd floor
  • Overhead MEP – 2nd and 3rd floors, north pavilion
  • Interior wall framing – 3rd floor, north pavilion
  • Curtainwall – atrium, east elevation
  • Exterior glass complete
  • Brick veneer – north pavilion completed under north taper
